This class is called INTENSIVE READING.  It is not an elective class, but a required class for some students.  My job will be to get you enthused about reading.  When you enjoy reading, your reading skills will improve.  The main objectives of this class are to help you realize that reading can be fun, improve your reading skills and give you strategies to use while reading to help you comprehend what you are reading.  I hope that I can help you do this in a fun and exciting way.

Your job will be to come to class with a positive attitude toward improving your reading and you should not only have a little fun, but improve your reading skills.

What Will I Need For This Class?

1.  A Cooperative and Positive Attitude

2.  Two-Pocket Folder

3.  Pencils, Colored Pencils (NO PENS)

4.  Loose Leaf Notebook Paper (Spiral Notebooks are OK, if you are the one responsible for picking up the tiny pieces of paper that tend to fall on the floor as you rip out a sheet...without COMPLAINING when reminded to do so.)
