>UPDATE: I had added a steel cover over the original muzzle brake holes as the Zero Climb MB was just way too loud. Plus I wanted to be able to build it up with Teflon tape for RG launches. After the ban lifted I had the MB removed and the barrel threaded. I can switch between the Browning long flash hider or the Belgian Combo Device for RG launching.
>The Leapers scope shot to pieces in short order. I replaced it with an ATN 5x33LU scope that has a built in bullet drop compensator for the .308 caliber. It ranges to 500 yards with it's rangefinder bars. I had originally ordered the ATN Steel adjustable rings but they were way too heavy duty for this application and weighed 3/4 of a # together. I went wth Millet adjustable rings which are adjustable for windage. I followed the ring mounting instructions exactly and with the 5x33 on a Williams QD Pro scope mount the first shot was on paper 2" low and 2" to the left. I then added the Butler Creek Blizzard Scope Covers, #7's, to protect my investment. The scope is somewhat on the heavy duty side itself but eye relief and clarity or par for the price. The adjustable eyepiece helps us ole farts see the reticule and the target at the same time.
