The special forces unit FOXHOUND seizes control of a nuclear disposal facility on Shadow Moses Island in Alaska. They demand that the US government hands over the remains of the legendary soldier, Big Boss, and plan to strike the White House with a nuclear weapon otherwise. In order to ascertain whether they're capable of a nuclear launch and to rescue the two hostages they have, the government pulls a certain stealth agent out of retirement for the second time: Solid Snake, the man who single-handedly brought down Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land. However, there are three things which Snake hadn't counted on: A run-in with an old "friend" who tried to kill him, having more in common with the terrorists' leader, Liquid Snake, than he would've liked, and everyone's favorite nuclear-equipped walking deathmobile, Metal Gear.Statistics
