- September 27, 1969 – This is vintage and great quality!
It’s Saturday night, and hear the assortment of light fare that WKIP played
under Tom Shovan’s format of The Sound of the Good Life. In addition to
Tom Stockton, you’ll here Dave Hellerman and Bill Starr. And who can
forget Mom’s Restaurant in the Apple Valley Shopping Plaza. Rich Davis –

27, 1970 – WKIP broadcast the Mets in 1970 and Rich did a pregame show before
every game. Here is the only known surviving copy of his show. Mel Blanc – WKIP
purchased a comedy package from Mel Blanc’s production company. Here is
Mel introducing the WKIP lineup in late 1970. Rob Roy -
1974 – Rob Roy did the 7-midnight show in the early 70s.
Every night at 10pm, he reminded parents about their children. Culture Vulture III
- May 11, 1975 – Hosted by Dr.
Bryce Allen Gorman, the program featured interviews with area performing
artists, classical music and opera. In this clip, Dr. Gorman interviews
guests Estelle and Alfonso. Tim Haskell – June
1975 – This is a clip from WKIP’s 35th Anniversary Show.
“Handlebar” Haskell came back to do one hour. Here, it’s 2:30 and time
for Trivia! Rich Stevens -
