Rich in history and tradition, the Philadelphia area offers many sites
to visit and to enjoy. It includes Constitution Hall, the Liberty Bell,
Valley Forge Park, the Betsy Ross House as well as many other famous
homes. Not to mention many revolutionary battle sites.

attached to it. Featuring the charm of a typical country inn, it boasts
a beautiful restaurant and lounge, featuring the historic White Horse
Tavern and the Chesterfield Lounge, once visited by those traveling West
on the famous Lincoln Highway. The hotel is about 25 miles from the
Philadelphia airport and quite easy to drive to if you are renting a
car. Limo service is available as well. There is ample free parking
available. We encourage you to make reservations as early as possible as
our cutoff date is 60 days prior to registration. Two shoulder days
before and after have been provided for.

OUR ITINERARY
Arrival day is Wednesday September 23rd with the welcoming dinner at
1930 hrs.
Thursday the 24th we will motor to the historic section of Philadelphia and visit the NATIONAL CONSTITUTION CENTER, the LIBERTY BELL and INDEPENDENCE HALL in the morning. Lunch is available at the center or locally. We will then travel to the AMERICAN HELICOPTER MUSEUM and/or the QVC TV STUDIOS. Arrangements have been made to do a double drop with the busses to accommodate visiting one or the other. We will then proceed to Victory Brewing Co. for an Oktoberfest dinner.
Friday the 25th will include visits to the BOEING rotorcraft plant and PIASECKI AIRCRAFT for a close up look at the X-49 Speedhawk helicopter. Between visits we will stop off for lunch and a Taste of Philly featuring the famous Philly cheese steaks and Hoagies along with many other Philly delights.
Saturday the 26th after our general membership meeting we will tour the world famous LONGWOOD GARDENS the world premier horticultural showplace designed and built by Pierre S. du Pont. We will then return to the hotel for our Awards Banquet.
For those who have not visited Philadelphia and the surrounding area, there is a wealth of history and places to visit, so please plan to stay an extra day or two and take in the many places available to see.
