The Orion Nebula, M42, is one of the most photographed objects in the night sky. The nebulousity shows up well in scopes of any size, and is absolutely incredible in large scopes. I enjoy viewing the nebula by shutting of the motor drive of my mount and watching the nebula slide through the field of view as the earth rotates.

Print scanned with H.P. flat bed scanner. Processed slightly to remove scanning artifacts in the background colors. Someday I'll get around to making a really good scan of this one.
