Ziva
(New York)
Ziva (New York) is a 1-1/2 to 2 year old Australian Shepherd/Catahoula mix who
was running as a stray up North and was on hold with the Dog Control Officer
for 3 days and was then going to be euthanized. A good Samaratin came to her rescue and found a very shy &
submissive girl who since being in foster care has been through the 1st
series of Basic Dog Obedience Classes to help build her confidence. Ziva
now meets visitors at the door wagging her tail and can't wait to be petted
instead of cowering to the floor or running away. She has learned to walk nicely on a leash,
knows sit and down. She is also crate trained. Ziva is up to
date on her shots, spayed, housebroken and has tested negative for
Heartworms. Ziva's foster home has signed her up for 7 more weeks of
Obedience classes to continue to build her confidence. She is being fostered
near Syracuse, NY. Even
though Ziva lives with 5 other dogs & cats
(she's very interested in the kitty's) we feel
should would be best suited in a home by herself or with another dog.
