Introduction ------------ GetResFromIRB is a script that reads the hexadecimal data in JPEG images and displays the resolution in the IRB (Image Resource Block) data. It's clunky, not very fast but it works. And when you need to check the IRB resolution, this script comes in very handy. Instructions ------------ Using this script doesn't get any simpler. Type the command followed by the ile(s) you wish to analyze. Warning ------- Few safeguards were built into this script. For example, it doesn't check to see if the files you've asked it to look at are JPEG and if no IRB tags are present, it doesn't tell you either. So make sure you use it on JPEG images. I frequently use it to check whether the IRB resolution tag is present in JPEG images. Licensing --------- This script is freeware. However, if you make any modifications, please e-mail the author. And if you're in a really generous mood, I'll gladly accept donations to my Paypal account.
