Aptitudes

----------------- New Aptitudes -----------------

Academia- Eastern Philosophy (addition):

This concentration of Academia represents the knowledge of various Eastern Philosophies such as Buddhism and Tao. It is a important aptitude for the Martial Artist as it lays the foundation and shapes the mindset of the artist.

Additionally, this Aptitude can be use in the following ways:

Faith- Eastern Philosophy

This skill represents the degree of commitment the character holds to the concepts of Eastern Philosophy. It may be test much like the common Faith Aptitude. A characters maximum level in Ch'i as well as certain Ch'i abilities are dependent upon this Aptitude.

Fightin'- Cinematic (addition):

The character must have the Cinematic Brawler Edge to buy this Aptitude Concentration. It mirrors the Martial Arts concentrations with respect to damage and special maneuvers, however the damage bonus is 1d4 instead of 1d6.

A character does not meet any requirements for buying Ch'i Powers or Edges with this skill. Nor is there a Academia- Eastern Philosophy requirement.

----------------- Removed Aptitudes -----------------

Gunplay

This aptitude is removed from the game. Resolve Border shift and Road Agent's Spin using the Quick Draw Skill.

----------------- Modified Aptitudes -----------------

Ch'i

A characters Ch'i level may not exceed that of his level in Faith- Eastern Philosphy.

Fightin'- Martial Arts (change):

This Aptitude may not be raised to more than double that of the character's Academia- Eastern Philosophy.

Ridicule

In a test of wills, Spirit may be used to *defend* against Ridicule in place of the character's own Ridicule Aptitude representing his taking it in silence.
