A total of 108 players from 24 states, England and Canada attended the 7th Carolina Invitational. This is the first year we did not have double-digit growth, but we did have three more players than last year. That means we still have gotten larger every single year we have had the tournament!
Paul Weaver took the early
lead in the ABT standings by winning the Open division, while Herb Gurland won the
Queen City Cup. Ken Larson successfully repeated as
winnter of the Cardinal Classic, making him the only player to ever win
that event.
Our charity side event -- Skunk Dice -- was also popular. Even Etter took home $50 and the coveted stuffed skunk. More importantly, we raised $842 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
