Welcome

We saw our first Briard in 1987 when our neighbor was walking theirs. We had an Old English Sheepdog and wanted to get her a companion. We liked the idea of another hearding breed. We went to the Golden Gate Dog show in San Francisco and talked to a number of breeders and were convinced that Briards were the breed for us. Intially we did not fully appreaciate just how strong willed they can be but that was more than compensated for by the affection, joy and fun they have given to our family. We got our first briard, Calvados, in 1988 and since then we have always had 1 or 2 Briards as members of our family. While each of our 4 briards have had many of the classic briard characteristics they have also each been their own dogs with their own unique personalities and brought their own unique flavor of joy into our family.

We are enjoying our newest family member Marty who arrived in Texas in December.
