Green T-hangar Notes

Effective August 13, 2011 we've moved into our new hangar, bay 6 of the green Ts. Here's a little briefing.

Location: We're on the east side of the green Ts, third bay from the north end. It's the one with the light fixture on the door.

Lockbox: The lockbox is on the door knob. The key to the door knob is inside the lockbox. The lockbox combination is the same as it was on the blue T.

Door knob: The door knob does not lock automatically. To lock up, you have to twist the button on the back side of the door knob. Remember to lock up when you're done.

Lights: The light switch is on the left as you enter. It's not the switch immediately next to the hangar door controller. It's the other one, a little further into the hangar.

Chock the nose wheel: The floor slopes downward out of the hangar so that any water that gets into the hangar will run out. This means the airplane will roll toward the door. Use the chocks provided.

Opening the hangar door: Follow the instructions on the huge yellow instruction decal on the back of the personnel door. The control knob is spring-return, so you will have to hold it pointing at "UP" until the door has completely opened. The door stops on its own when it has fully opened.

Closing the hangar door: Again, follow the instructions on the yellow decal. Hold the knob pointing at "DOWN" until the door finishes moving downward. Once it stops moving, you will need to finish the closure operation by tugging on the grab handles to lock the door into place. The photo at right illustrates a grab handle. There is one on each end of the door. Pull the one, then pull the other one.
