Day 6
Well before the wind rose enough to consider setting sail,
we spotted this diminutive Tancook Whaler making remarkable
progress through the water and diverted to look her over.
"Look her over" became especially apt when the captain
looked up from her book to wave. All alone with a book
in a boat steering herself to windward up Penobscot Bay,
what could be finer? I tell you, the Strider's captain's heart
was beating pretty hard as this little rig slid out of sight.
