Unfortunately, foul weather caused us to postpone tonight's matches for 2 weeks, until August 4th. As it turned out, right after I bailed out, and got home, it really came down, and with the wind, it was raining sideways, with hail to boot. It sounds like there were some good rounds under way, when the horn sounded, which sucks. When we make up tonight's matches on the 4th, it'll be a "Do-Over", start fresh, handicaps and points will be adjusted after next week. That will leave us with position night on the 11th of August, after which time, final standings will be known. I'm looking into where we can have our banquet, ( cheaply ) and will advise. I even had a thought to keep it really simple, and award all cash payouts for prizes, since nobody has come forward with any prizes to donate. If anyone does have a prize, or prizes they would like to be part of our awards, please let me know, and get them to me, as the end of the season is fast approaching. I hope to have everything arranged for the end of season program, by August 4th, and will keep you advised. I spoke with Luke Tues. AM, and the rainchecks are taken care of. A partial charge is going to be assessed, but instead of $300, it'll cost us, like $30. Thanks everyone, see you all next week. Rick |
