Tonight's position night ends league play for the season. Congrats to the team of Natrop/T. Woods for taking first place, by the narrowest of margins over a surging Griffen/Szymik duo. A number of fine scores were carded tonight, and if you look back at the history of scores from week to week, it's easy to see that as a league, we got better as the season went on. Next week will be our scramble. Here are the teams, that will play at a 5:00 shotgun start: Pairings - 4 Person Teams with A/B/C/D on each team (A - Low to High, B - High to Low, C - Low to High, D - High to Low) Nate Dosch(3) / Jim Griffen(8) / Mike Woods(9) / Paul Roth(14) Brett Roth(4) / Mike Milhaupt(8) / George Monese(9) / Bret Schaefer(13) Troy Evers(4) / Joe Viotto(7) / Tim Woods(9) / Gary Ruhle(12) Craig Nissen(6) / Pat Szymik(7) / Joe Mattson(10) / Kurt Barnes(12) Rick Natrop(6) / Ken Barr(7) / Andy Wittig(11) / Dan Muenchow(12)Starting Holes will be assigned by the front desk, based on open holes at the time. After the scramble, we will all head over to Route 15 for food, drink, and prizes/cash payouts. At the scramble, there will be a seperate skins game. The "A" player in each group is responsible for getting $5.00 from each player, and getting it to Joe Viotto prior to the payout at Route 15. Right away at the course would be great. ( $20.00 per team with 4 man teams ) I'd like to thank you all at this time, for your cooperation, and understanding with my handling of the league this year. Andy left some very big shoes to fill, and was instrumental in helping me along the way, throughout the season, as questions arose. We are still looking for someone to step-up and take over the reigns for next season, so suck it up, and step forward, if you would, please. After all the scores are compiled, Andy should be posting a Ryder Cup update. This report will show who plans on playing, and who qualified for the top 10 positions in the hunt for the Ugly Trophy. Again, the Ryder Cup will be held at Masoutin on Saturday, September 13, 2008. Click on the Ryder Cup logo at the top right of the home page, for more information. Paul Delange and I will be meeting on Mon. September 8th, to pick playing partners/matches. I have yet to hear from a couple of you, and today was the deadline I had set. I know some of you don't know if you're working yet or not, but I absolutley need to know from those of you who have not responded no later than August 25th.That's giving you 2 more weeks to respond. I have enough players committed at this time, to field a team, as well as some extras who want to play, regardless of whether or not they're playing for the bragging rights. But here's your chance to jump in, at the last minute. If I don't have an answer from you by August 25th, you're out of luck, as I'm going to need to study the reports, and develop my "dream teams" for the competetion.
