We had a couple of very nice scores posted tonight, with Mr. DeLange as a sub and Mr Schaefer both posting 39's. Way to go, fellows ! Some other scores were a bit topsy turvy, and upset the apple cart a bit, as you will see in the standings. That's why we play all season, to include both good weeks, and the not so good ( take it from me, WOW ! ) A reminder, that due to the holiday next week, that we do not have league play scheduled. My apologies to all of you, for not setting out the second proxy on number 8, which should have been closest to the pin in three. I must have been too busy making sure DeLange wasn't trying to pull something, but his play tonight did all he needed it to. In speaking with the groups, Pat Szymik was reportedly within inches of the cup in 3, on number 8. I'm told he missed the putt ( Just kidding ). So to clear the proxy for the week, I'm awarding it to Pat, on the word of his playing partners. Joe Viotto gets the long drive on #1, much to the chagrin of former Appleton West ace, Troy Evers, who, the poor sap, couldn't get a 5 iron closer to the edge of the fairway, than Joe's driver. Sorry about that. I guess that rules out my closest to the pin in 6 proxy, on a par five, when we resume play, huh ? So much for innovative thinking. Thanks everyone for the cards all being filled out so far this season, you've made my job much easier. A reminder, please, that if you know you're going to have a sub playing for you, to get me this information as soon as possible, so I can print the cards appropriately, and assign the A/B matches. I try not to print the cards until Monday morning, so even a Sunday e mail to me would suffice, if you know that far ahead. I hope everyone has a fun-filled, and safe Memorial Day weekend, and I'll see you in a couple of weeks, when my wounds heal. Rick |
