| Why can't iFonProtect take a picture or get
location coordinates and email or text them to a designated recipient? |
Sending an email or making any kind of call from
the iPhone requires verification from the user. Presumably,
in this case that user could be a thief! |
| Can the alarm be made louder? |
The alarm sounds at the system audio level so
adjust the volume using the buttons on the edge of the iPhone prior to
pressing the ProtectMe button. |
| Can't a deactivation code be added? |
Even if one were added an unauthorized user could
press the 'Home' button to quit the application. ADDED with RELEASE 1.2 |
| Can the delay between the time that motion is
detected and the alarm sounds be varied? |
The delay is currently fixed at 2 seconds, but the
ability for the user to vary this is planned for the first update.
ADDED with RELEASE 1.1 |
| How can I prevent an unauthorized user from deactivating the
alarm? |
One
can't, but one can make it more difficult and time consuming by placing
the iPhone inside something else or by reversing the iPhone in its
case, obscuring the Home button. Either technique will allow the
alarm to sound longer, drawing attention to the culprit. ADDED
with RELEASE 1.2 |
| Can
the alarm be made to sound even if the phone is switched to silent? |
Unfortunately no. Apple does not give the programmer
access to this. |
Motion activates the display, but the alarm doesn't sound after the delay.
|
Ensure that the Ring/Silent switch is all the way in the 'Ring' position.
