Principal components analysis

• Early analysis unconstrained to explore data

• Two PCA axes achieve separation

• New and aged samples also tend to separate, but this does not interfere.

Goals of the problem not yet satisfied

1. PCA inferred a natural separation but did not prove one. It could be an artifact, and should be confirmed.

2. The result is accurate, but not easy or fast. The two new PCA dimensions are a combination of the original seventeen, requiring many measurements and calculations.
