I wrote a review of this game for the New York Times. You can read it here.
Basically I say it's one of the best adventure games ever, with perhaps the most involving story of any computer game ever. I didn't have room to discuss its faults, although it has a few. For example, the dialogue is all quite good but there's perhaps too much of it. It would have been better if they had done long dialogue passages with cinematic cuts, like Gabriel Knight: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned, but I suppose that would have been expensive, especially with so much dialogue. At times I would start what promised to be a long exchange, turn the volume all the way up and go do some dishes, coming back to ask another question whenever they stopped talking. The review at Just Adventure does a good job of discussing both the strengths and weaknesses of the game. At some point I'll write something about it, but for now I just wanted to put the link in.
Demo Review:A very engaging demo in which you basically help the young protaganist to do the wrong things for the right reasons. Very pretty and imaginative. Got me very excited about getting the game.
