The info in this table shows the Civil War roster from Company H of the 62nd Pennsylvania Volunteers, which was formed in Allegheny Co, PA. It came from pages 476-479 of Vol III of the History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-5, a series of books by Samuel P. Bates, which was written in 1869 and was reprinted in 1993. Johnston A. Fife and William J. Fife were brothers of my great-great-grandfather. Samuel M. Adams was their mother's brother. All the other Fifes and the Espys listed are also cousins and can be found in my family database. I tried to use all the spellings and abreviations found in the source I used, hopefully there aren't any typos.
