My friend was on the phone with Nick's Gun Shop in Marietta, GA-- THE largest

In re: the S&W Forum banishment; one of the operators there, "parabellum"
(Mike Packwood who seems most concerned with ingratiating himself with the

Parabellum came over and decided to "ban me" even though I had nothing to do
with the whole affair. He just knows I don't like the 556 so I was lumped in.
Firstly, you can't really ban anyone from a forum. It's just an illusion of
power mods like to pretend they have. If you are serious about posting and
being a member there no one can stop you.
Secondly, Para's bully moderator attitude drove most professionals away a
long time ago. Federale, perhaps the most knowledgeable person when it comes
to AR15's was harassed by Para for saying the trigger system in the P250 would
keep him from buying one, and was locked out of the rifles section. This is a
loss to all members on the site.

I've seen posts now on several different gun owner forums mentioning the
eccentricity and outright boorish behavior by Packwood.
First off, if you don't want someone on your forum, remove them. Second, I
don't understand why a gun forum owner would demonstrate his bravado through
detailed and repeated homo-erotic postings. It was really creepy and that
particular forum owner seems to be sinking deeper into odd behavior, including
overtly racist posts. He recently sold another forum that he owns, so it appears
that he's venting in inappropriate ways. He's not doing gun owners any favors
regarding image and I'd imagine that anyone affiliated with SIG would quickly
want to distance themselves from that place.

the last time I argued my right to say as I please--the topic was racism-- on a
site like this, the s&w forum to be exact, I was told I am a " guest ' at the
guys site, a fellow named mike packwood in atlanta, and he will tell everyone
what they're gonna say. Some of those ninnies compared it to being a guest in
his house no less !!! What stupid poppycock !!! I said as much and was tossed
off like right now and before he answered my thoughts on the matter so I could
not answer his ignorent diatribe. The most interesting thing to me was all the
folks who emuled me in support not one of which had the guts to cross swords
with his high eminent blowhard, der packwood.
the most interesting thing of all is I do believe there are more stupid things
said on that site than any other gun site on the internet. I am just amazed at
the things stated as fact there that flat out untrued. It is a pitty to see.
