Zen hike geared towards families. Dogs and kids welcome—I'll have my son with me. We will hike, sit, have a talk and/or discussion—whatever works! There is another agenda: I want to scope out this area as a possible location for future backpacking retreats.
The location is Horsethief Canyon. We will leave the trail head at 9:30 AM. The hike is a little over 3 miles round trip. We will have lunch down at Pine Valley Creek, and return to the cars after lunch.
Please RSVP to my email address (below). I'll try to arrange carpools. I'll be leaving my house in San Diego at around 8:15 AM.
Bring hiking shoes, warm clothes, water, hat, sunscreen, lunch. Bring something to sit on like a beach towel, and some sort of meditation cushion like a fleece jacket in a stuff sack.
This is a wilderness area. There are no restroom facilities.
