Requirements:
Windows XP (SP2) or Vista
Latest version of Garmin's MapSource software (v6.15.3 or later). It is helpful if you know how to upload maps to your GPS.
A Garmin Mapping GPS. If you can purchase and load maps onto your GPS then this map will work for you.
What is it?
High resolution Topography and Streams of the lower Little Miami River area for your GPS.
All USGS public domain data.
Transparent so it overlays on top of the existing maps in your GPS.
It does not contain roads.
Oh, and it's Free! (non-profit use only)
How to Install/Uninstall the Map:
To install the map: Download and Unzip this map. Then run "LMSetup".
How to Use the Map (see picture below):
NOTE: If you want multiple maps on your GPS (road map, Little Miami Topo, etc) you have to upload ALL of them at the same time.
Start Garmin MapSource. Select "Little Miami Topo" from the "select a Product" drop-down list (upper left corner in MapSource).
The Little Miami Topo map will appear blank and not show any detail until you zoom in on it, this is OK.
Click the "Map Tool" button on the toolbar. Then click anywhere on the Little Miami Topo map image (it will be added to the list and will turn pink to let you know it is selected).
Select your other map(s) from the drop-down list (upper left corner in MapSource).
Click the "Map Tool" button on the toolbar then click anywhere on your other maps to select them for up-loading (they will also turn pink and appear in the list).
Click the Upload button on the toolbar to upload the maps to your GPS. This will take several minutes.
How To display the map on your GPS:
Each GPS is different but you will need to go into "Setup Map" on your GPS and select "Show Lower Little Miami".
