Reggie and Mardra Thomas

  Reggie Thomas    Mardra Thomas

Illinois natives Mardra & Reggie Thomas swing, serenade and ultimately seduce the seasoned listener. Mardra Thomas’ soulful vocals coupled with the endless groove of Reggie Thomas’ trio make for a swingin’ time.

Reggie is one of the best keyboard players in the St. Louis area, and whenever he and Mardra work together, they've usually got something special up their sleeves.

Reggie Thomas is a jazz pianist and educator. As an educator he teaches jazz education, history and theory at SIUE. He also serves on the summer faculty of several jazz camps around the country including the Eastman School of Music and the Summer Jazz Academy in Poland. As a performer Reggie has toured with many nationally known artists and performs regularly in St. Louis at The Sheldon, Jazz at the Bistro, and the St. Louis Jazz Festival.

Vocalist Mardra Thomas is well-known to St. Louis audiences for her work with her husband Reggie Thomas and the OGD Trio. She has performed on the “Jazz at The Sheldon” series, at the St. Louis Jazz Festival and at concert halls and clubs around the country.

Reggie takes to the keyboard and Mardra hits the satiny vocals with selections from their recent CD “Fade to Blue.”
