Purpose:
The purpose of JCS is to promote and preserve jazz music in it's
diverse formats as a vital part of our American heritage.
Programs:
At present, the JCS has the following projects ongoing:
* Jazz Concerts, including producing the Fox Jazz Festival
* Teach Clinics/Jazz camps
* Promotion of jazz musicians who are not nationally
known artists
* A Newsletter (The
Jazz
Word)
In
order to fulfill it's purpose, the following programs are planned:
* Jazz Music Library
* Grant Program
* A web site for networking jazz musicians to
concert organizers,
teachers
and enthusiasts as well as a bulletin board
for Wisconsin
jazz
events.

Membership in JCS is open to those persons who are
interested in jazz music and/or desire to promote the jazz idiom as
part of the American heritage.
JCS may elect to charge annual
membership fees.
Contributions:
Donations and contributions are welcomed to support the programs of
JCS. All contributions are tax deductible.
We have set
