Fifth Annual Fox Jazz Fest Jazz Improvisation Competition

Each year, area high school band, orchestra, choir and jazz ensemble directors throughout the Fox Valley region are invited to submit student nominations for the annual Fox Jazz Fest jazz improvisation competition. Sponsored by the Jazz Corner Society  and Heid Music, the outstanding soloists are chosen by a panel of area jazz professionals. Winner of the 2011 Fox Jazz Fest Jazz Improvisation Competition  was guitarist Frankie Salerno of Green Bay. He  performed at the Fox Jazz Festival on Saturday September 3rd at 5:00pm, just before the headliner.
