Be Who You Are

Let the true spirit of who you are
shine through in all that you do.
Let your hopes and dreams
always guide you in the direction
that you definitely believe in.
Let the love that is within your heart
never stop being the most important
and beautiful part of your life.
Travel through time not as one alone,
but as one among the many;
reach out to those who need your
gentle spirit and caring ways.
Make your passage through time
an endless journey of love.

I will not pretend
to be anyone but me -
I am as I am

I am a (over 49) year old, dark blonde (with some gray), and mother of three wonderful sons (who put most of that gray there).  I am patriotic (don't you dare burn my flag), a strong believer in true love (took me too many years to find it), and love animals.  I shared my life with my soul-mate and best friend - Gold-Wolf (Dave), until his passing.

I was born in Texas, live in Texas, and plan on spending the rest of my life in Texas (unless I have a better offer).

I love my computer (my son built it), enjoy visiting with my friends on #50+Chat_Trivia (which I founded) on Starlink-IRC, and am available on ICQ.

To My Sons

On May 31, 1964 I held a small being in my arms, and
with a tear in my eye I knew that this was the greatest
joy my heart could ever feel.  Here in my arms was a
small piece of me - an extension of my being.
Again, on January 12, 1967 I held another small life
in my arms.  This one so much like the first, and yet so
different.  A mother's pride swelled in my heart.
I was blessed with two son's - two extensions of my life.
In February 1968, another small life came into my life.
This one was already 2 years old - my step-son.
He fit right in the middle and joined in to become another
important part of my life and brother to my other sons.

Each one has found his own way in life.
To my sons I say "thank you" for supporting me in
all that I have achieved.  It has been a long road -
with lots of bumps and winding paths.
But through it all, you have been there for me.
Through your love and encouragement
I have become the woman I am today.
