Todd William Donovan Contact: todd.w.donovan@gmail.com Phone: 727.638.5089 Todd William Donovan, a St. Petersburg native, has sung a variety of roles in opera and operetta with the Florida Lyric Opera, Bay Area Civic Opera, New Century Opera, Opera Tampa and St. Petersburg Opera. Todd is an audience favorite at St. Petersburg Opera having sung a number of operatic roles: Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia; Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus; Colline in La Boheme; Leporello in Don Giovanni; and Baron Zeta in The Merry Widow. Todd has also appeared as Wotan with New Century Opera's Ring Cycle in Das Rheingold, Die Walkure and Siegfried. In February 2009, Todd made his debut with Opera Tampa as Marco in Gianni Schicchi. He will be the featured bass soloist in the 34th Annual Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria in August 2009. Todd won the 1st place Oxnard Gold Medal Award and the Johnny Mercer Award in the American Traditions Competition at the 2009 Savannah Music Festival. Winning this competition shows his versatility in being able to sing a wide variety of music styles with his very rich and smooth baritone voice. He also placed third in the Altamura/Caruso International Vocal Competition in New York under the baton of Maestro Anton Coppola in August 2008. He placed third in the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera, having sung in the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in January 2009.
