Ryan and Stacy Thompson are
a husband and wife team who met in high school and train two
Australian Shepherds, Zeke and Indigo. While working at her high school job at the Circle Drive McDonald’s, Stacy used to watch dog trainers pour in and out of the Syracuse Obedience Training Club’s old location nearby, and she dreamed of having a dog of her own. Stacy went to college to become a licensed veterinary technician and went to work for Village Veterinary Hospital where she is still employed. She got Zeke as soon as she finished her degree. Ryan is a Sales Representative for Ryan Homes and he is also a Black Belt in training for his First Degree at Llavalles Karate in Dewitt. Upon meeting friends at work who trained in agility, Stacy and Zeke began taking agility classes with Dottie’s Dog School, and the two were soon hooked on this fun, fast, and competitive sport. Stacy slowly and quietly converted Ryan “to the dog side,” and the two even had Zeke (the best ring bearer ever!) in their wedding. Once married, the Thompsons got their second Aussie, Indigo, who Ryan trains. Now both are completely obsessed with dogs! While agility is their passion, the entire Thompson family dabbles in Rally and Obedience as well. Stacy and Ryan welcomed a new little dog trainer into the world on June 10, 2009: Lauren Grace Thompson!
