Proposed By-Laws Changes Central Texas College Faculty Senate
1. Change numbering of Constitution/By-Laws Committee and Membership Committee from #6 and #7 under Standing Committees to #1 and #2 under Special Committees. (This change is to make the committees fit under the proper designation because they are appointed committees, not elected. Standing Committees are elected.)
2. Add #3 under Special Committees: Auditing Committee
This committee shall consist of a chairman and two other members appointed by the President to conduct an annual audit.
3. Change Piper Professor Selection Committee to provide for overlapping terms from thecurrent
The Piper Professor Selection Committee shall have three members who will be responsible for selecting a nominee for the Piper Professor Awards Program of the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation. This committee will propose guidelines to theFaculty Senate for the administration of this nomination.

The Piper Professor Selection committee shall have five members: Three members will serve two-year terms beginning in even-numbered years and two members will serve two-year terms beginning in odd-numbered years. The committee will be responsible for selecting a nominee for the Piper Professor Awards Program of the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation. This committee will make its recommendations for an upcoming academic year in the prior spring semester.
4. Add #5 to By-Laws:
Audit
An annual audit shall be conducted by a three-member committee appointed by the President. |
