Faculty Senate meeting, beginning in November and all members are welcome to

the Faculty Senate Scholarship recipient. The second was from Bill Perkison, CTC
Foundation Director, for the Faculty Senate gift to The Dr. Billie Laney
Commemorative Fund.
President Waite reported that the CTC Faculty Senate Competency Based Endowed
Scholarship for $8,500 has been established.
Walkway Project: No Report.
Usage of the Old Gym: Neither the administration nor Board of Directors has made
a decision regarding the usage of the old gym. A letter was sent to the
Chancellor stating the Faculty Senate recommends academic or instructional
usage. The response is pending.
New Business:
CTC Faculty Directory: Copies of the last Faculty Directory,
printed in 1995, remain in storage. Discussion included updating the hard copy
since the pages are in a ring notebook or placing the directory on the web site.
For lack of a motion, the issue was tabled.
Documents: Due to lack of storage space, the group consented to keeping
nonessential documents for one year. Audits and other essential and historical
documents will be kept with the designated officer or placed in the Faculty
Senate historical files in the Library.
Prioritization of Brainstorming Issues: Members discussed prioritizing the
issues as presented earlier and focusing on the top three. The Faculty Affairs
Committee was tasked with prioritization of these issues. Jan Anderson and
Committee were honored with a round of applause for their work in putting this
information together and Suzanne Morales was thanked for her "fire that
keeps on burning".
Faculty Senate T-Shirts: A member requested that we order CTC
Faculty Senate T-Shirts. Lisa McQueen will be asked to investigate this issue.
