Outside Shower Hose Correction

This what the outside shower hose looked like from the factory.  As you can see there is not much space for the hose to make this tight bend.

I decided I needed an elbow of some kind.  This the solution I came up with.  It is a 1/2" NPT X 1/2" Q PEX elbow fitting.  The inside had to be modified to work in this application.  The brass nipple extended to far past the rubber washer in the swivel.  (My fixture hose connection is flat across the top, therefore not allowing the brass "nipple" in the swivel part of the Q PEX fitting from connecting and making a seal on the rubber washer.)   I removed the rubber washer and use a 1/2" drill bit to remove some of the brass material.  A Dremel tool and a burr were used to clean up the fitting.  The rubber washer was reinstalled upside down from its original position, flat side up.  The rubber washer now extends a 1/16" to 1/8" beyond the brass nipple.  I used a pinch clamp to hold the hose on the Q PEX barb.

This is the completed assembly attached to the fixture.  The hose is no longer crimped and the water can flow unrestricted.  The hose is easily removable.  I also purchased a 1/2" male NPT to 3/4" garden hose adapter so the shower head can be replaced with a hose nozzle, for hose down of shoes and equipment.
