"Sophisticated
Lenzie"
|

|
 |
|
"Sophisticated
Lenzie" is a mare that came to us through a purchase at the 2009
Congress Super Sale. We were looking for a mare to show in 4H & open
shows. She has Halter
points, she is good on the ground in Showmanship, and she rides too! We
could not have asked for a better attitude, and manners than that of
which she exhibits! She is bred to "Chipified" (pictured at
right) for an April 2010 foal, and will be rebred to him for a 2011 foal
as well! We are excited for the girls with their ventures with this
mare!

Sierra's
& Deana's gray mare, "Ima Shi Mito" (left), out of
"Mito Cierra" (pictured below left). The palomino filly in the
picture is her 2009 foal. The mare is 9 years old, and will be bred to
"Potentially Famous" (pictured below right) in February 2010,
with hopes of a nice foal for futurities in 2011. We originally looked at
the foal, but we all fell in love with the mare instead. The mare has a
great disposition and attitude! Tara and I
will put some more training on her and she will be used in the 4H Riding
Therapy Program while she is in foal (light duty riding). Sierra
will show her in 4H and Open shows in 2010, and we are excited for them
both! |

"A
Tru Imperial Blend" a.k.a
"Red"
 |
Red is a mare that was Tara's
dad's horse. He used her on trail rides, and was used as a brood mare.
After Fred's passing, the mare was sold with the option to buy back if
they decided to sell. The family that had her, decided to relocate with
work and sold her back. Since her return, she has be used for some
showing, as a brood mare and used as a therapy horse in the Morgan Co.
4H Riding Therapy Program. Tara taught her to drive the buggy that her
old gelding used to pull, after a request from a friend to use the buggy
in their wedding as we did in ours. Red has had a foal from Mr. Zippo
Win, and a foal from Shaker Bar, which includes the gelding that is
still on the farm "Imperial Shaker Bar". |

"Imperial
Shaker Bar" a.k.a
"Freddie"
|

|
Freddie is a gelding from Red
& Shaker Bar, who was promised to Sierra at the time of breeding, as
a gift from her grandmother in memory of Fred. When he was born, we
asked Sierra what she wanted to name him, she said Freddie, which was
ironic, because she was young and did not know the name of her late
grandpa, Fred, and he was from Fred's mare Red! Freddie is Sierra's
buddy, and we let him mature before Tara broke him at the age of four.
He is laid back most of the time, and the third time under saddle,
Sierra got to ride him. She had been anxiously awaiting that day! What
the future holds for Freddie will be determined later as his training
and knowledge increases.

Gone but not

"Greens
Jamica Miss" a.k.a
"Jamaican"
|

|
Jamaican was a mare that was
bought by mistake... I wanted my dad to get a horse to be able to enjoy
the hobby with, and we responded to an ad to look at her, dad did not
like her but I fell in love with her, so he found a Sonny Dee Bar
gelding at that farm that he liked, and I bought Jamaican. From
that day forward there was a trust and bond like no other! I showed her
in Halter, Showmanship, Trail, Western Riding, Horsemanship, Western
Pleasure, Barrels, Calf Roping, Team Roping, and Team Penning! She had a
resume of a champ, but was a $700.00 best friend. Outside of AQHA
& Open shows, High School Rodeo, Jackpots, and weekly roping
gatherings, she had fun on cattle drives, trail rides; running bulls
back to the return pens at rodeos, and goofing of in the arena. As you
can see she did it all, rope on Friday, show on Saturday! When we bought
our present farm, I did not want her standing in a stall, I wanted a
youth to show her and have fun on her like I did, I priced her very low,
and found a good family that took her and won at shows. She passed in
2006, and is deeply missed, but the memories are unforgotten! She has
had 3 foals by Mr. Zippo Win in her career as well.... |

Gone but not
forgotten.... "Rusty"
|

|
Rusty was a quarter
pony cross gelding that grew up with Tara. He was bought from her aunt
Kris, and was Tara's life long "BFF". She ran barrels, poles,
contesting events, showmanship, horsemanship, and fun classes with him.
He was a fast little man, that did everything that she asked. Later on
in his career, she proved that you can "teach an old dog new
tricks" as she taught him to pull a buggy, and a few years later he
drove that very buggy that carried her and her dad to the isle at our
wedding! Rusty had a rough "golden years" as he battled
cancer, and after many procedures and a major surgery lived a few years
longer into his thirties. He is buried here on the farm, and the buggy
he once pulled is still owned by Tara. |

Standing in a
new barn.... "Toby"
|

|
Toby was a tobiano paint gelding
that Tara had during her 4H years and into high school. She showed
him in halter, showmanship, western pleasure, english, and horsemanship.
He was a gelding that was flashy, and he knew it with his ornery
attitude that required him to be rode 6 days a week to stay manageable.
Tara competed in 4H, open shows and the All American Youth Horse Show
with Toby. Tara is proud of the training she accomplished with him such
as riding without any headgear by using only voice and leg commands! |
