Steve's Baseball Card Trading Page
Last Updated: January 9, 2012
Hi. My name is Steve Etzel and this is my baseball card trading page. I've been collecting cards since about 1971 and have all those that I bought back in the good old days. I am a member of Vintage Card Traders.
Speaking of vintage, here is your's truly at the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988...
My main collecting focus is vintage Topps baseball cards. More specifically, I collect the following:
- Completing Topps baseball sets in these years: 1952, 1970, 1971, 1972 (upgrades), 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977.
- Pittsburgh Pirates cards from all years (Topps, Bowman, Fleer, Pre-War and others).
- World Series cards.
- League Leader cards.
- Some interest in "oddball" Pittsburgh Pirates stuff (inserts, coins, food premiums, etc.).
- Roberto Clemente, Wille Stargell, Bill Mazeroski, Dave Parker cards.
- Football: Pittsburgh Steelers cards.
- Hockey: Pittsburgh Penguins cards.
- Basketball: Pittsburgh Condors cards.
My two main non-sport card collecting interests are chess-themed cards and vintage Topps cards such as the 1952 Look-N-See set and the 1956 Presidents set (the latter is complete).
I generally prefer to trade common for common and star for star, but will consider all proposed trades. My target condition is generally solid EX or EX-MT, depending on the set. I will try to specify the condition I'm looking for in the Want section. Centering is fairly important, as is a lack of creases. Sharp corners are less important as long as I know what I'm getting. This list is no where near complete, but I will continue to update it. Due to my limited free time, the best way to complete a trade with me is to propose the trade and I'll respond.
The best way to get my attention for a trade is to NOT put "VCT" in the subject line when emailing me.

| 1952 Topps Baseball (Available to Trade) |
 |
I have these to trade and more to come: 17, 53, 89, 115, 121, 203, 209. Most are very low grade but would be good for collectors who are not condition-sensitive. |
| 1956 Topps Baseball (Available to Trade) |
 |
I have several of these, both white backs and grey backs. Condition is mostly VG, with some better and some worse. For many, the biggest flaw is soft corners on an otherwise nice card.
