Using survey data on serial
numbers and Singer's information on production runs, the total production of Featherweight
221's for AF serial numbers (June 6, 1938 through July 1, 1941) is estimated between
350,000 and 450,000. The total production of Featherweight 221's for AG serial numbers
(July 1, 1941 through April 4, 1947) is estimated between 400,000 and 500,000.
