Cannellini, Sausage, and Sage Stew

2 garlic cloves -- minced
2 cups chopped -- seeded plum tomato

1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can cannellini beans -- (16-ounce) rinsed and drained
1 can fat-free -- (15.75-ounce) less-sodium chicken broth

Remove casings from sausage. Cook sausage and garlic in a large nonstick
skillet over
medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Stir in
the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; lower heat, cover, and sim
mer 5
minutes.

Yield: serves 4 (serving size: 1 cup)
