I'm happy to announce that Royal City is now open! Just give me a few more days to spawn doors, vendors, and new quest NPCs. The newest patch file is here. You will not have to patch again for me to add any of the above, but I still plan on adding a little more decor, which will be added to another update in the near future.

The server has been down for about 3 days due to hardware failure. The crappy on-board ethernet apparently just died. I didn't have time to work on it until today after breakfast. I went by a little computer shop around the corner from me and picked up another network card for 10$. The card is installed and the server is back online.

As noted in the update below, we had some more bad weather that took the server offline for 1-2 days. It will be brought back online a little later this afternoon.
EDIT: OK, it looks like it won't be up tonight. I'm having trouble with accepting outside connections in general. It must have been something in an update. Looking into it now...

Just like the coldest parts of winter may bring ice storms which knock the server offline, with hottest parts of summer come severe thunderstorms. We've had a couple of those in my area over the past few days, and a storm knocked out the server again last night. It will be back online this afternoon when I get home from work.
I recently appointed a new staff member to help construct some more things and to do some more spawning. I haven't worked much on the shard as of yet this year due to other projects, but I hope that will change soon.
