Before creating an account, be sure to see the rules under the F.A.Q. section! Ignorance will not be accepted as an excuse if you are punished by a staff member for breaking the rules.

To create an account, all you have to do is follow the instructions below to get an Ultima Online installation setup for play on Retro shard and connect. The FIRST TIME you enter in a login and password that creates the account! Do not forget what you typed and be sure to type it carefully.

Only 2 accounts may be made per IP address (location). Requests for more such as a large household with more than 2 Retro Shard players should email the shard owner to request this. People having trouble creating an account should email the shard owner. Please WRITE DOWN your information when you create your account and DON'T LOSE IT. Requests for lost passwords may take days to resolve.

First off, you will need to download the Ultima Online - 2D client from the downloads section. Install that by double-clicking it and following the instructions, it's quite simple.

Download the latest version of Razor from the downloads section. Razor is a much more powerful program for playing Ultima Online and will allow you to connect to Retro Shard. It is not required, but without it you will have much fewer options and will have to edit your login.cfg in the UO directory to connect. Install Razor.

Alright, final step! Download the latest Retro Shard patch from my downloads section. It is a .rar file. You want to extract this directly into your Ultima Online folder. If it asks you if you want to over-write, say yes. Keep in mind that if you want to play on other shards, you should back up the files use another Ultima Online folder. We are over-writing the standard maps.

Fire up Razor or whatever client you are going to use. If you used a different install path, you will have to browse for that under UO Data Directory. Put retroshard.no-ip.org in under Server and the Port is 2593. Click Okay.
