How to change the air filter for a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country minivan

Changing the air filter in the 1998 Chysler Town & Country is rather difficult.
The air filter is located on the driver side of the engine compartment, below the
battery. To remove the air filter, it is necessary to remove three 10 mm hex bolts
connected to the air intake assembly and to loosen 2 clamps so that the entire air
filter assembly may be removed from the engine compartment.

After loosening the 2 clamps, and removing the 3 hex bolts, the entire air intake assembly
may be removed. Note: the hose connected to the engine cover should slide off to allow
the air intake assembly to be removed. Now, the air filter assembly can be lifted out
of the engine compartment and the 2 clamps holding the air filter cover in place may be
removed to allow installation of the new filter.
