Spanish Train (Fictional Scenario - Spain - 1811)

This fictional scenario is set in Spain in 1811, during the Napoleonic Wars. It is a Piquet scenario from the Piquet Heretics web site. The French begin the game strung out in a Road Column from the town of Jalapeno down the road to the West and off the board. Two advance French Infantry Battalions have deployed into part of the town. The British begin along the southern edge of the table and East of the swollen river. The objective for the British is to move a carriage off the North edge of the table along the road. The carriage is escorted by a unit of Spanish Militia and contains captured officers that may have valuable intelligence. The French objective is to capture the carriage and rescue the officers.

We have played this scenario a number of times with victories for both sides. A number of optional rules were in use. This included rules for a 'Hand of Cards' and the use of a 'Master Die'.
