Annual Plant Sale
Where: Historic Hunnewell House, Blackpoint Road, Scarborough, one-half mile down from Route 1 in Oakhill.
When: The first Saturday in June, rain or shine, from 9-noon.
The sale starts promptly at 9 and not before, although a line usually starts forming at 8:30. We have a huge selection of plants each year with some of the basic plants as well as a selection of unusual perennials, some annuals, herbs, shrubs, you never know what you may find. Our knowledgeable garden club members are more than happy to give you care instructions and help you to your car with your purchases.
The club does accept donations of plants that can be dropped off the Friday before the sale between 8A.-11A.
If you have plants that need to be dug, but cannot do it yourself, contact the knowledgeable garden club members below around the first of May and we will be glad to send someone over. The date for next years plant sale is on Saturday, June 5th 2010.
Proceeds from our plant sales go towards the club's community projects including: Garden of Hope at MMC, Scarborough, Wreaths for Christmas in various public buildings in Scarborough, our Green Thumb Awards Contest, Mums for the Scarborough Library, University of Maine 4H Summer Camp at Bryant Pond and other memorial gifts.
