Each year, our garden club recognizes large pumpkin and large sunflower youth growers. Sunflowers are measured, and pumpkins are weighed at the Green Bay Farmers' Market in October. This is announced prior to the event through a Farmers Market brochure and flyers distributed at previous weeks' market days. Pumpkin and sunflower seeds are available from the club.

Awards include a $100 U.S. Series EE Savings Bond for first place sunflower and pumpkin winners, a $75 U.S. Series EE Savings Bond for second place sunflower and pumpkin winners, and a $50 U.S. Series EE Savings Bond for third place sunflower and pumpkin winners.
