I think that one of the sad things about theme park ride construction is that there is so little contact between those who design and build them, and those who ride and enjoy them. Certainly the people who design and build these rides for our enjoyment see them with a perspective that most of us coaster buffs will normally never have. In an attempt to partially put a human face on this side of theme park rides, I wanted to give us all a chance to get to know some of the guys who actually put Mr. Freeze together... their photos and some of the thoughts about Mr. Freeze that they wanted to pass along to us.
So I asked some of the steelworkers from CMSCo to each share some of their thoughts with those of us coaster enthusiasts who will soon have the opportunity to experience Mr. Freeze firsthand. (It's entirely too rare, I think, for us coaster fans to have a chance to get a glimpse into the minds of the people who build these things for our enjoyment!). Here are some of their thoughts collected so far:

"If riding it is near as much fun as building it has been, it's gonna be a blast! ...and every bolt is tight!"... Brent Crocker

"Spooky as it was hangin' off of it, spooky I hope it is to ride it!"... Ronnie Skipper

"Hold on to your ass!!"... Chris Dhane

"If it looks as spooky from the top as it does from the bottom, it's gonna be a wild-ass ride!"... Steve "Buck Shot" Anderson

"It'll be the best ride at Six Flags, right there!"... James Collins

"Don't eat before you get on this ride, that's all there is to it! It's gonna blow you apart!"... Ben "BB" Lofton
"It looks a whole lot meaner from up top than it does from the ground! Hang on when you go through it!"... Mitch Gentry

"I think it was really quite an exciting experience to build something like this... it's gonna be the best coaster here! ... Expect the unexpected! It's gonna be the best experience in coasters you've ever ridden! (I'm sure it's gonna scare the hell out of me!)... Troy Rockey

"Don't ask me, I stayed on the ground!"... Donald "Duck Butter" LaBouve

...and another photo of some of the guys who assembled Mr. Freeze for you: left to right, Troy, Brent, Donald, Steve, and Chris. Lounging on top is Ben.
