
DISCRETE MATH
Welcome
to Discrete Math. I am Mr. Stanley and I am eager to start the upcoming
semester. I have some exciting activities arranged for Discrete Math.
Hopefully you will learn a few things as the year progresses. So let's
begin and get the boring stuff out of the way (materials needed, rules, grading
procedures, etc.)
A.
CLASS MATERIALS
You will need the following items
in class everyday:

pencils (no pens in this class)
- Discrete Math
textbook (NOT ENGLISH, BIOLOGY, OR HISTORY) – Mathematics All Around
– Addison Wesley
- 3-ring binder
with loose leaf paper and dividers
- Calculator
(TI-83, TI-83 plus, or TI-84 family)

CLASS RULES

GRADING PROCEDURE
The grading policy is as follows:

55 %
Quizzes
30 %
Homework /
Classwork 15 %
Seventy
percent credit will be given for late homework turned in one day late. Fifty
percent credit will be given for late homework turned in two days late.
Homework will not be accepted after this time. If absent the day of a
test, you will have three days to complete the test at a time convenient for you
and me.
