Lynne's Lowcarb Chocolate (By Lynne Axiak)

1 oz unsweetened chocolate
2 TBS butter
1 TBS heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4-6 packets aspartame (Equal)*
1 oz crushed nuts (e.g., macadamia) - Optional

Melt chocolate and butter, carefully. Remove from heat, stir in cream and vanilla, stir in Equal, fold in nuts. Pour into foil lined container. Chill

*Saccharin based sweeteners don't work with chocolate. This recipe was before Splenda - does it work OK with Splenda?

Variation: substitute orange extract for the vanilla and sprinkle with finely grated orange rind.
