Gregg began his law enforcement career in 1989 and has been employed by the Gates Mills Police Department since 1992. Gregg was promoted to sergeant in 2002 and continues to serve as a road supervisor. He has a BA degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State, is a graduate of PELC 35, and the FBI Academy session 221. He joined the Alumni Board in 2010.

Timothy G. Callahan has 32 years experience in law enforcement. He is a graduate
of PELC 16. He is retired from the Akron Police Department were he served
as Patrol Shift Commander with the rank of Captain.

Danny Zampelli has been a member of the Akron Police Department since 1984 and
has worked in all three sub-divisions. He currently is a Captain in the Services
Sub-Division overseeing the police budget, training, and Community Relations
Bureaus. Danny has a Bachelor Of Science degree from Kent State
University, is a graduate of PELC 20, and received his CLEE certification
February 2001.

Glen Smyth recently retired with 34 years of service with the Hamilton County
Park Rangers where he served since 1977. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree
from The Ohio State University, is a graduate of PELC 13 and has been a board
member since 1996. Glen is a Past President of PELCAA and a member of the
Executive Board of The Hamilton County Police Association serving as Past
President.
Marling P. "Newt" Engle

Marling "Newt" Engle has been with the University of Akron Police Department
since 1978, where he is the Assistant Chief Of Police. Newt has a BS in
Political Science / Criminal Justice from The University of Akron, and is a graduate of
PELC 23.

Brandon Standley currently serves as a Sergeant with the Bellefontaine Police Department, and has served in that capacity since 2003. He is a graduate of PELC #49, and Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command. He has a Master's degree in Criminal Justice, from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in Criminal Justice. Brandon joined the Alumni Board in 2007.
