HAMILTON MONTHLY MEETING
OF THE RELIGOUS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS (QUAKERS)

About Us

The Hamilton Monthly Meeting is a part of the Butternuts Quarterly Meeting of the New York Yearly Meeting.

We are an 'unprogrammed' Friends meeting. This means we meet without minister or ritual in silent waiting on the Light Within.

Meetings for Worship take place each
Sunday at 10 a.m. lasting approxiamtely forty-five minutes. We meet during Summer months from April 15th to October 15th in our historic Meeting House in Upperville NY, 3 miles west of Smyrna NY. During the Winter months, October 15th to April 15th, we worship in Chapel House on the Colgate University campus.

All are welcome to attend.

Friends also carry on business as a group. Guided by the Clerk of the Meeting, we gather once a month for a Meeting for Business following a Meeting for Worship. There we deal with issues concerning the functioning of the Meeting, the maintenance of our meeting house, and anything else of concern. As always, our decisions are made by deliberate development of consensus.
