This truck was originally purchased by the Village of Watkins Glen New York Fire Department. It was delivered on August 16, 1951. It is a 700 series Type Invader 775PJO. The unit has a 750 gallon per minute American LaFrance two-stage "tripleflow" centrifugal fire pump, with a high pressure pump option. The motor is the American LaFrance "G" series 12 cylinder gasoline engine which develops 215 horse power, it is coupled to a Fuller 4 speed manual transmission. The motor is equipped with dual Zenith downdraft carbureators. It has 24 spark plugs, two per cylinder powered by two distributors. The transmission is a Fuller 4 speed manual. This apparatus is equipped with a 300 gallon booster tank, a 30 gallon foam tank and a 10 gallon wet water tank. It is believed that this truck was purchased to provide protection during the races at the Watkins Glen International Speedway.
