This truck was originally purchased by the North Belmore New York Fire Department. It was delivered on April 28, 1958. It is a 700 Series Type 7-85-AKO Aerial. The unit has a three section 75' American LaFrance hydraulically operated steel aerial ladder. The motor is the American LaFrance "K" series six cylinder gasoline engine which develops 245 horse power, it is coupled to a Fuller 4 speed manual transmission. The motor is equipped with a Zenith downdraft carbureator. It has 12 spark plugs, two per cylinder powered by two distributors.
