My great great grandfather -Johann Andreas Schinnerer arrived in Albany New York from Windsheim Germany sometime around 1856. In 1857 he is found working with Frederick Hinckel at the Hinckel and Schinnerer Brewery in Albany New York. He lived in Albany for about 8 years before buying his own Brewery in Schenectady New York. He operated this brewery under the name “Center Street Brewery”. In the mid 1870's he became ill with consumption (tuberculosis) and passed away in the year 1876.

Because of Andrews untimely death there is not a great amount of information available on him and his activities. Both of his brothers who settled in Indiana lived in to their eighties. Andrews gravestone.
